Still working on your New Year's resolutions? Here's an easy one for you - recycle your Christmas tree!🌲

♻️ Recycle Christmas trees by placing them on the curb now through Friday, Jan. 24. Public Works will pick up the trees to mulch for the city's playgrounds, dog park and green spaces.

📅 If you miss the pickup, bring trees to the intersection of Lake Street and Washington Street near the Town Green between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Jan. 25. Do NOT drop off trees before Jan. 25!

❗️PLEASE NOTE THE NEW LOCATION❗️Trees will NOT be collected this year at the usual mulching site of Berkeley Rd. and Wiltshire Dr. due to the DeKalb County construction project.

Remember:
❌ Artificial trees cannot be chipped.
❌ Trees must be free of all artificial materials, nails and staples or they cannot be chipped.
❌ Trees placed on the curb after Friday, Jan. 24 will not be chipped.
❌ Trees dropped off at the chipping site after Saturday, Jan. 25 will be considered illegal dumping.

For thirty-four years, the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation has held Bring One for the Chipper events at more than 120 sites statewide.
