[ARCHIVED] Avondale Estates’ Halloween Spirit Awards Returns

It’s the spookiest time of the year and the city dares all residents and businesses to embrace the Halloween spirit and participate in the annual Halloween Spirit Awards by submitting a photo of their decorated home or business by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23. Residents will be the judges in this thrilling competition. 

The competition will be fierce in the following categories:  

  • Business Award – the most creative, original display by a business 
  • Children’s Appeal – homes with decorations that children like the most 
  • Most Creative – homes with the most creative, original display 
  • Spookiest – homes with the biggest scare factor 

Online voting will run from Monday, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Oct. 29. Winners will be announced on Monday, Oct. 30.
