Some Park Facilities to Reopen Friday

The City of Avondale Estates will loosen restrictions to uses of park facilities beginning Friday, May 15. This will include reopening the tennis courts and pavilion at Willis Park, as well as the benches and tables at Lake Avondale and Fletcher and Windsor parks. Playground equipment will remain closed at this time.

Social distancing guidelines, including keeping at least six feet apart from others and limiting gatherings to 10 or fewer people, should continue to be adhered to at all locations. Additionally, the one-way directional flow around Lake Avondale should be followed to allow safe use of the narrow path.
