✅ UPDATE: POWER RESTORED and ROAD OPEN ✅
Power has been restored throughout the city, and Covington Highway is now open in both directions.
⚠️Though the Public Works team was able to remove a great deal of the debris, remnants from the downed trees have been moved from the road to the sidewalk and adjacent property. Removal will continue tomorrow, and until then, the sidewalk will remain closed heading west past the American Legion.⚠️
Thanks to the police department and the public works staff for their hard work today.

Georgia Power is working on repairing the multiple poles and power lines down in the city. No ETA is available at this time for power restoration.
City Hall is also affected by the power outages and is closed.
