Public input is sought for the submitted design ideas of the City-owned four acres (North Avondale Road from Oak Street to Lake Street and north to the mill property). The City received 10 submissions after the Board of Mayor and Commissioners (BOMC) announced they were looking for design ideas for the approximate four acres of City-owned land in the downtown area. Those interested in submitting a design idea received a number that was placed on all submitted design ideas to create anonymity. The deadline for submissions was Wednesday, June 7th at 3 p.m. 12 numbers were given; 10 submissions were received.
The community is invited to take a survey and offer input on what they like and don’t like about the submitted design ideas. This is not a competition to find a "winner," rather a way to discuss ideas for the BOMC to consider as they decide on a development plan for the area. Deadline to provide input is Tuesday, July 11, 2017.
