Avondale Estates Tennis Courts
The City has two public tennis courts available to Avondale Estates residents at no charge. They are maintained by the Avondale Swim and Tennis Club. To reserve a court go to: www.my.calendars.net/citytennis.
The Tennis Pro at the Avondale Estates tennis courts is Chris Anderson. Chris is a certified member of the Professional Tennis Registry, a certified Tennis Aerobics instructor, a sponsored member of Team Head, and a 6-time Divisional and City Champion coach. Chris has provided instruction and coaching at the junior, high school, and adult ranks and currently is the Tennis Director Assistant at Emory University. He will be providing our community with a menu of activities including private lessons, clinics, team coaching, and junior programs. The City of Avondale Estates hosted a public Open House to address recent coyote sightings in Avondale Estates on January 9, 2014. Representatives from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources were present to explain coyote behavior, biology, habitat, management options, and safety precautions.
